As part of our 2016 summer school Scoil Acla are hosting a series of lectures on the founding members & attendees of Scoil Acla and their association and links to the 1916 rising and subsequently to the foundation of the Irish state.
The talk on ‘Mrs Emily Weddall’ will be given by Maria Gillen. Maria is working tirelessly and continually unearths additional information o…n the life and times of Mrs Weddall including her arrest and imprisionment in Tullamore jail while making her way from Achill to participate in the Easter rising.
